We’re excited to welcome Stephaine Cole to Gersh Autism Academy as our Regional Vice President for New York.
Stephanie will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for multiple school campuses. She is passionate about building high-performing teams, developing exceptional leaders, and ensuring every student receives an educational experience that prepares them to thrive.
Stephanie began her career as a special education teacher before advancing into school leadership as a Head of School. Her experience working directly with students, families, and educators has given her a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities within special education.
Following her time as a Head of School, Stephanie joined a National School Quality team, where she partnered with schools across the country to strengthen educational programs, improve organizational performance, and support school leaders in achieving excellence. Working with diverse school communities broadened her perspective on effective leadership, continuous improvement, and the systems that drive sustainable student outcomes.
Stephanie later specialized in supporting families of individuals with disabilities through comprehensive special needs financial advising, helping them navigate the financial, legal, and long-term decisions that accompany every stage of life.
Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her husband Tommy and is the proud dog mom to Wyatt and Olive. In her free time, you’ll often find her riding horses, playing tennis, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, or lost in a good book. Most recently, she’s embraced a new hobby, learning the game of Mahjong.
Stephanie is excited to partner with the talented principals and staff across Gersh to continue advancing the organization’s mission of providing exceptional educational opportunities for students with autism and their families.
