When Learning Is Personalized, Potential Flourishes

At Gersh Autism Academy, our programs are designed to meet students where they are, providing individualized support based on their communication, academic, social, and behavioral needs. From foundational language development and life skills to comprehensive academic and post-secondary preparation, we tailor instruction to help every learner build confidence, independence, and the skills needed to thrive.

One Mission. Two Pathways. Every Student Supported.

Learning to Learn (B.A.S.E.)

  • Focuses on functional language, life skills, vocational training, and foundational academics.
  • Supports students who may use limited vocal language or Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC).
  • Provides individualized programming centered on pre-verbal and verbal skill development.
  • Incorporates ADL (Activities of Daily Living) skills, social skills, music, arts & crafts, and physical education to foster well-rounded growth.

Learning to Lead (I Am I Can)

  • Emphasizes comprehensive academic support, including ELA, math, science, social studies, and core knowledge.
  • Helps students strengthen social and functional language skills while preparing for post-secondary opportunities and vocational success.
  • Encourages communication, problem-solving, and greater independence through direct instruction and social-emotional development.
  • Integrates social skills, music, arts & crafts, and physical education to support the student.

While each pathway is unique, both share the same goal: providing personalized support, meaningful opportunities, and a learning environment where every student can grow, succeed, and thrive.
