We’re excited to spotlight Denzel Skeete, Assistant Principal at Gersh Autism Academy’s West Hempstead campus!
With more than a decade of experience in education, Denzel brings a unique blend of leadership, mentorship, and a passion for student success. Before joining Gersh in 2023, he served as Coordinator of the STEP Program at Kingsborough Community College and spent several years as a middle school Student Advisor. His background in theology has helped shape his approach to leadership, emphasizing service, connection, and making a meaningful impact.
At Gersh, Denzel is passionate about creating an environment where students feel encouraged to grow and educators have the tools, confidence, and resources they need to succeed.
When asked what he loves most about working at Gersh, Denzel shared:
